“Proptech Beelines for Federal Funds to Retrofit Government Properties”
I was commissioned by Commercial Observer to Create this illustration to accompany its story on protech companies implementing federal funds to retrofit city’s older buildings.
The idea was to sketch out a real estate broker looking through a magnifying glass and imagining how an old building would look after a modern retrofit. I wanted to give the new building a slick modern look with lively residential and retail spaces co-exist together. For the composition, I used a bit of forced perspectives to accentuate the building, but at the same, implemented the circular shape of magnifying glass in the foreground to break the sharp corners for a better visual flow.
